Der Band beinhaltet eine detaillierte Analyse der Veränderungen im Wahlverhalten seit den späten 1960er Jahren in Deutschland und der Schweiz. Dabei stellt sich heraus, dass das Phänomen des Wechselwählers zunimmt bzw. Entscheidungen zunehmend erst kurz vor der Wahl getroffen werden. Die Untersuchung analysiert die Gründe für dieses Verhalten und liefert so wichtige Hinweise zum generellen Verständnis gegenwärtigen Wahlverhaltens.

Abstract
