Zusammenfassung
Das Buch enthält historisch-pädagogische Studien, die forschungszentriert auf lokale, regionale und personengeschichtliche Aspekte in der Geschichte des Kindergartens blicken. Dabei bewegt sich die Darstellung vom Ursprungsland des Kindergartens über die USA bis nach Ägypten. Im Anschluss wird ein Brückenschlag in die Gegenwart unternommen, der den Zusammenhang von Ideen Fröbels mit der gegenwärtigen Debatte über Inklusion prüft und dabei selbst noch einmal historische Perspektiven aufnimmt.
